I recently purchased the Aroma 6 cup rice cooker,
when I opened the box that contained the cooker, i almost fell over with shock, omg it was only about a 3 cup size, cooked, The cup size on the box said 6 cup,
also on the Walmart website it said 6 cup, so very misleading. I contacted the seller who explained that
the rice cooker cup size is in Asian size,
well this is Canada not Asia, every cook book that I have ever come across always use standard 8 0unce cup, the Asian cup size is just over 150 ml. our standard cup size is 250 ml. just over 8 ounces.
I do have to say though that the Aroma rice cooker is
very well made, I had no problem returning it, I ordered the Aroma 14 cup size (Asian) from Amazon, and it is an amazing rice cooker, makes the best rice ever, and i love it,
I purchased this rice cooker with stainless steel inner pot for my daughter, who wanted one for her university dorm. It's a perfect size for her and her roommates, and she used it her first week on campus and says she likes it.
I would purchase a power bar with a switch so you don't need to plug and unplug it. Also I am looking at buying the steamer, I wish it wasn't so expensive or there was a discount if both were purchased together.
